Carcassonne is a stunning location bursting with history and a world heritage site not to be missed. It is really breathtaking as you approach it with the wall around the city and turrets everywhere like a fairytale castle.

Port Grimaud is a lovely little working port that is full of character and charm. It became derelict but in the last 50 years has been renovated.

Its like a mini Venice with canals, bridges, restaurants, bars ice cream shops and its pedestrian only.  From here you could get a boat into St. Tropez.

Our day in Cannes was great and we really enjoyed walking through the lovely narrow streets browsing the shops and looking at the lovely old buildings.
